Dr. Nimrit K. Nijjar B.Sc., O.D.
“Vision is but a part of an individual's overall eye care. Understanding the health, and the how the eyes work together in conjunction with vision is what I aim to educate my patients with. No concern of theirs is a small concern to me.”
Raised in Edmonton, Dr. Nijjar completed her undergraduate schooling at the University of Alberta and graduated from New England College of Optometry (Boston) in 2011. Her previous externships exposed her to various ocular diseases and pediatric eye care as well. She has experience with ocular therapeutics and co-management with local ophthalmologists. Dr. Nijjar enjoys meeting and assisting patients from all walks of life. She has a special interest in contact lenses and strives to keep up to date with the most recent advancements in the industry. She is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, English and a bit of Spanish. She is a member of the Alberta College of Optometrists and the Alberta Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Nijjar is a fan of fine arts and enjoys watching a variety of movies, ranging from independent productions to Hollywood and Bollywood films. She is also an avid reader, with interests in autobiographies, historical and fictional novels.
